Other Experience and Qualifications:
Morris brings a vast knowledge of transportation and structural engineering to his new consulting firm, MI Engineering, PLLC. He has designed and managed the design and plan production for variety of bridge projects throughout North Carolina, as well as projects in Virginia, West Virginia and South Carolina. His structural engineering experience encompasses restoration of historical buildings, retrofit of industrial and medical facilities, and new structure design.
In addition he is a certified NBIS Bridge Inspector and has inspected and directed the inspection, load rating and reporting of over 2000 bridges throughout North Carolina and Virginia, utilizing conventional and paperless electronic Wiggins System.

Allyson K. Orr, P.E. – Project Engineer

For twelve (12) years before joining MI Engineering, Allyson worked for Ko & Associates, PC as a structure design engineer. Her experience includes: design and supervision of plan preparation for complex bridge structures, analysis and load rating of existing bridges, and detailing of overhang falsework and other construction engineering services. She is accomplished at computer operations utilizing Conspan, RCPier, MDX, MathCAD, Lpile, WinSeiSab and Xtract software packages.
In addition she is a certified NBIS bridge inspector and has inspected, assisted in inspection, and performed load rating of over 1000 bridges throughout the state of North Carolina utilizing conventional and paperless electronic Wiggins System.

Barry E. Lanning – Senior Designer / CADD Technician

For twelve (12) years prior to joining MI Engineering, Barry worked for Ko & Associates, PC as a Structure/Bridge Designer and CADD Technician. Barry's experience includes: plan preparation for complex bridge structures, including quantities calculations and overall coordination of CADD production.
